A company with tradition
There's no doubt what Swedish carpenters and builders immediately think of when they hear the name Hultafors: folding rules. Not surprising, as the Hultafors folding rule has been around since 1883.
It was then, when the metric system was about to be introduced in Sweden, that Karl-Hilmer Johansson Kollén invented the comparison rule, which showed both the old and the new measurement system.
After a time, Karl-Hilmer designed a joint for the rule, enabling it to be folded. Success was a reality, and thus Hultafors was born.
Today, there are not many buildings in Sweden that have gone up without the help of our folding rules. Nor are there many carpenters or DIY-ers who don't have one in their toolbox. Not surprising then that the name Hultafors is strongly associated with folding rules.
